Dog friendly. Lunch was good. Don't go if you are in a rush or don't have patience. The crag sandwich was good, but Southern Chicken Sandwich is better. Ask for a pitcher of water and extra ketchup.

Father's Day breakfast. The food was very good, in a lovely setting. A welcoming open sign outside, but people were turned away, being told you must have a reservation, even though one couple only wanted a coffee and the venue was nowhere near full. In fact, empty, only 3 tables of 14ish outside occupied on a beautiful sunny day, in the 1st hour of opening. We sat outside from opening and didn't see many groups go inside, so it certainly wasn't busy in there either. I don't know when the rush was coming. One grumpy waiter and one happy cheerful waitress, like chalk and cheese.

Delightful little independent cafe/restaurant within Southsea Castle; I stopped for some lunch before catching the ferry over to the Isle of Wight! I highly recommend the Veggie Bean Burger!

Love this place...always very welcoming; dog friendly. Great food and and great no alcohol ale. Always my go to for lunch with my parents and dogs in tow.

An excellent cafe with friendly and thoughtful staff. We sat outside in the shade. The service was efficient. The food was really delicious and beautifully presented, all not so easy on such a hot day. We had a lovely time.

I went to Southsea Castle and discovered this restaurant. It was very nice. The staff were very pleasant and the food was good.
